Breakfast: Quirky Cups At Houndstooth Coffee

hyhoi.com

Trendy but comfortable, Houndstooth Coffee is a great coffee shop to stop in for a quick pick-me-up or a few hours of relaxation. They offer strong wifi, unique decor, an elegant space, and amazing coffee from Counter Culture and MadCap. During rush hour, this tiny cafe gets pretty crowded, but if you can get a spot, it’s a great place to chill. You can even do afternoon tea with scones and a teapot for sharing. Or try their "Coffee Crème Brûlée," a liquid ginger espresso underneath a sugar flambé hard shell.

Work It: Get Productive At Createscape Coworking

Keller D.Yelp

Hip co-working space located in the heart of Austin offering day passes for use weekdays from 9AM to 6PM. Passes include general coworking amenities such as free coffee and tea as well as printer and scanner use.

SXSW Spots To Know: Catch A Brand Sponsored Shindig On Rainey Street

Randall Meeting

Located just south of downtown Austin, Rainey Street is a row of historic homes converted into chic cocktail bars. During SXSW, this is an essential stop for sponsored launch parties and events (AKA free drinks). RSVP as early as possible to score a spot at one of these must-go parties.

Lunch: Austin's Best Brisket At Franklin Barbecue

franklinbarbecue.com

Franklin Barbecue is known as Austin's number one barbecue destination, which is why you must arrive early before the lines begin to wrap around the block and through the streets. The lunch-only spot is no less than a barbecue oasis; once you're inside, you'll be treated to otherworldly brisket that's been slow-smoked for 15 hours. Enjoy it with a classic Big Red soda, all the sauces, and the lemon chess pie for dessert (if you can manage to find room).

Play and Explore: Sun Salutations At Wanderlust YOGA Austin

www.statesman.com

Yoga lovers unite at Wanderlust YOGA Austin, a downtown studio known for their excellent space and classes that are just the right level of challenging. You can drop in for any class without making a reservation, just be sure to arrive 15 minutes in advance ($19 per class). Dinner, Drinks, And Late Night: Cocktails & Hearty American Fare At Moonshine Patio Bar & Grill

Moonshine Patio Bar & Grill

Set in a historic house with a charming wraparound patio, Moonshine is a local favorite for cocktails and contemporary comfort food. An easygoing spot located in Austin’s Waterloo Compound, they serve everything from chicken fried steak with chipotle cream gravy to warm kale and bacon dip. Don’t miss their original Moonshine shrimp corndogs or hard lemonade (with Tito’s vodka, muddled mint, and Paula’s Texas lemon). Their all-you-care-to-eat Sunday brunch and Sunday cocktails are great, too.
